Mexican Sour Gherkin are grown as annual plants and are also called creeping cucumbers, small watermelons, small cucumbers, small zebras and Mexican cucumbers.
They are grown just as usual cucumbers, you can grow them in glazed balconies or greenhouses, if you are growing them outdoors, you should choose a sunny place which is sheltered from winds. These plants are really decorative, so they are perfect for decorations, they are grown on 3-5m high support poles.
The fruit is 2-2,5 cm long, dark green with light stripes. Young fruit tastes like cucumbers, but have a sour peel.
Suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, using in salads or cucumber assorts.
